Welcome to Atlantis

Atlantis is a fictional country with fully developed capitalist economy

The simulation unfolds today in a parallel universe where Atlantis is on Earth, a fictional island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean off Gibraltar between Europe and North America.

The democratically elected Government of the Federal Republic of Atlantis is in harmonious cooperation with both the European Union and the United States. With the European Union there is a special regime of cooperation while maintaining its own currency which is the Atlas (₳). An Atlas (₳) equals the average US $ and Euro €.

How the simulation works

Bank Wars is a real world simulation of the Banking System

Participants are forming teams of each bank

Each team consists of participating "players" who represent a bank that competes with the other teams / banks.

The simulation game is round based

The "game" evolves in periods and each period represents a complete fiscal year.

Participants should use data and consider the news updates

Users are advised to use the available data and pay close attention to the news and events as they might change the course of the simulation.

In each round teams must submit their decisions

Each group must make a series of decisions for each period within a specified period.

At the end of the round the results are published

At the end of each round the results are published. The system considers all team inputs and event effects in the calculation.

Decision Making

In each round teams are asked to make many decisions that are divided in four major groups:

Financial Decisions – Risk Assessment/Management, Credit Risk, Pricing
Decisions on network of branches – Open or close branches in various locations chosing among 4 types (Retail, Corporate, Private, Digital)
Human Resources Decisions – Hiring/Firing, Bonus schemes, Outsourcing, Training
Marketing Decisions – Research and development of new banking products, Advertising, PR, Direct Marketing, Digital Marketing, Market Research
